Your Career

Recently, twelve of the most successful television producers in Los Angeles made over $801 million. Learn how to write, create and produce network and cable television shows, as well as learn the skills of TV production to pursue a successful television and film career throughout the world.

Our Program

This is the only program of its kind that prepares students to work not only as television writers and producers but also prepares them to work in the offices and on the sets of major TV shows throughout the world. Students learn how to write, as well as create, produce, and direct all different genres of television shows, from situation comedy, one-hour episodic, reality, and life style to late night comedies. Students will work with award-winning writers, producers, directors, set designers, editors, directors of photography, development and network executives from Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles. Students learn the lucrative and creative business of television and film - learn from well-known guests, lecturers and faculty how to create, write, develop, pitch and sell their ideas that will one day lead to well-paying jobs in writers' rooms, production offices and on production of major network television shows.

In two semesters, students learn every aspect of the television business and how to become successful either as writers, producers or in production. Graduates of this program are presently working as heads of TV development or major independent companies, successful directors, in production of many popular shows on CTV, CBC, NBC and MTV, working on programs such as E Talk, So You Think You Can Dance Canada and Canadian Idol. We also have graduates currently running a top animation TV series, as well as working in Los Angeles on The Office.
