Four semesters, beginning in September, plus a May/June internship
Humber's Broadcasting – Radio diploma program prepares you for the creative, technical and business elements of radio. Learn about radio station operations, broadcast equipment, and how to gather, interview, write, produce and report material for music, news, sports and talk radio and new media. On the business side, gain in-demand skills in station management, sales, programming, promotion and market research.
Your radio broadcasting education includes the exclusive opportunity to contribute to Radio Humber 96.9 FM. This is Humber's student radio station, which for more than 40 years has broadcasted to Etobicoke and North York. It's the only radio station with a Canadian Radio-television Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) campus instructional licence among Greater Toronto Area (GTA) colleges. Create original content in our digital studios and then enjoy the thrill of bringing it to air to listeners inside and beyond the college, and worldwide via radio.humber.ca.

Radio is a thriving field, with more than 250 stations in Ontario, thousands more across Canada and the U.S., and the growth of satellite and digital radio. With your Broadcasting – Radio diploma, you'll have what it takes to succeed behind the microphone. Graduates work as music and talk show hosts, news and sports anchors and reporters, audio and content producers, ,sales and marketing representatives, and music and program directors at stations across Canada, including prominent Toronto stations such as Newstalk 1010, Talk Radio AM 640, 680 News, 102.1 The Edge, Sportsnet 590 The FAN, and CBC Radio.
Follow in the footsteps of media personality George Stroumboulopoulos and hundreds of other Humber radio alumni who are household names in their communities and across Canada.
Radio work placement opportunities are available at radio stations across Canada during the May/June internship (160-hour internship). Humber assists students in finding placements at stations in their areas of interest, providing students with valuable experience and industry contacts.
Our placement partners include 680 News, Talk Radio AM 640, Newstalk 1010, Sportsnet 590 The FAN, 102.1 the Edge, Flow 93.5 FM, Z 103.5 FM, CBC Radio and Q107.

Students must have all assignments successfully completed and be passing in all courses to go on internship.
