  • Our Program

Humber’s in-depth Creative Photography program teaches the photographic technology, business, and theory required to successfully enter the professional field of photography. The curriculum focuses on imaging and capture techniques, creative and conceptual proficiency, practical skills like lighting, colour and B&W output, and Photoshop. Students also study commercial studio techniques, portraiture, location photography and business practices.

  • Professional Accreditation

Students and alumni of this program become members of the Professional Photographers of Ontario (PPO).

  • Your Career

The Internet and digital photography have radically altered all facets of the photographic industry. Two of the most popular online catalogues of stock photography have more than three million digital photos available for purchase. At the same time, thousands of websites, e-books, e-zines, and other online publications have joined the hundreds of print publications in North America that are constantly searching for good photography to illustrate their content. Now is the time to turn your passion for photography into a well-paying career. Graduates work in diverse areas of the photographic industry. Many students set up and operate their own freelance businesses and studios.

  • Workplacement

A 72-hour work placement, which can be either paid or unpaid, provides you with a real-life application of professional photography. The student finds the professional fieldwork. The program works with industry for technical support and career placements.
