Toronto, Ontario – May 26, 2011 – Humber Arboretum Centre for Urban Ecology is taking part in the 12th Annual Doors Open Toronto. This year’s theme – City in Focus! – will feature up to 150 buildings of Toronto that make for great photographs. As part of the theme, Humber photography students will also be displaying their photos for the public to see.
The Humber Arboretum Centre for Urban Ecology is an award-winning LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold-certified facility showcasing the latest in green design and technology. One of the first LEED Gold buildings in Toronto, the Centre is a venue for education, community programming and research into urban ecology and sustainable development. Visitors will experience the beauty of the Centre’s urban natural areas and stunning garden oasis through the lens of sustainable modern architectural design. While visitors are always welcome at the Centre for Urban Ecology, this weekend will celebrate and highlight the stunning architecture and progressive sustainable design features of the building and its integrated landscape ecosystems.
