Toronto, Ontario – September 28, 2011 – Graduates of Humber College’s renowned Comedy: Writing and Performance program will once again prove that "laughter is the best medicine," as they headline the annual Hearty-Har-Har Charity Fundraiser in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Hearty-Har-Har is a stand up comedy show founded in 2009 by Toronto resident Howard Cappell after he participated in the Stand Up: Writing and Performance class at Humber College. The fundraising event has raised more than $50,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation since its inception.
This year’s line-up includes award-winning comedians and Humber graduates including Mark DeBonis, Mark Edwards, and Bryan O’Gorman, who have performed on top comedy stages across Canada. Hearty-Har-Har also encourages amateur comedians to take the stage to raise money towards the purchase of Automated External Defibrillators.
