TABASCO® Brand Brings the Heat to the Street

Humber Hosts Junior Chef Competition

A culinary throw down is coming to Humber College! On Monday, November 7, three culinary students from across Canada will battle head-to-head at the 2011 TABASCO® Brand Street Heat Junior Chef Meet Finals.  

Celebrity Chef David Adjey, winner of TABASCO® Brand Hottest Chef contest in 1999, will be on hand to help judge the live finals and encourage the aspiring chefs as they compete for the title and $5,000 in cash and prizes.

You are invited to attend this photo/interview opportunity and find out who has what it takes to become the next TABASCO® Brand Hottest Chef.

When: Monday, November 7th, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Who:    Three culinary students whose creative street food-inspired recipes earned them a spot at the TABASCO® Brand Street Heat Junior Chef Meet Finals Competition.

What:    

  • Watch three competitors from Humber College, SIAST school in Saskatoon, and  Niagara College in Niagara Falls heat things up in a quest to impress the chef and media judges with their street food-inspired dishes
  • Interview opportunities with Chef David Adjey and the three finalists, with Humber chefs also on hand
  • Visuals of culinary students cooking in front of a live audience
  • Visuals of Chef Adjey interacting with the finalists and the Humber community. Judging panel includes Chef Ralph Bettany of TABASCO®, Chef Hans Sell of Garland Canada, Rosanna Caira of Foodservice and Hospitality magazine and Colleen Tully of CanadianLiving.com
