Media ReleaseDate: March 29, 2006 WORLD RENOWNED DRUMMER STEVE GADD TO PERFORM AT HUMBERSteve Gadd, one of the world’s most respected and talented drummers, will headline the Spring Humber Music Jazz Concert on Wednesday, April 19 at 8:00 pm in The Auditorium, Lakeshore Campus, School of Creative & Performing Arts, Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Best known for his impressive technique and flexibility in a number of genres including jazz, rock, post-bop, and fusion, Steve Gadd began playing drums at age three, and sat in with the famed Dizzy Gillespie at 11. He recorded with Chick Corea and other illustrious jazz artists including Bob James, Al DiMeola, ‘Stuff’, and Grover Washington Jr., among others. Today, he is considered to be the studio drummer of his generation. In fact, Paul Simon and James Taylor won’t record or go on tour without him. At Humber, he’ll perform with Denny Christianson’s Big Band and with the Gord Sheard Fusion Ensemble.
