HUMBER SCHOOL FOR WRITERS ANNOUNCES WRITER'S CIRCLE LINE UP

TORONTO – The Humber School for Writers (HSW), School of Creative & Performing Arts, Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, is pleased to announce its line-up for the 2006/2007 Writers’ Circle sessions.

Saturday, October 14  (10 a.m. – 12 noon)
Kim Moritsugu (The Restoration of Emily, The Glenwood Treasure)
Barry Jowett, editorial director, The Dundurn Group

Saturday, November 11  (10 a.m. – 12 noon)
Russell Smith (Muriella Pent, Young Men)
Sarah Heller, literary agent, The Helen Heller Agency

Saturday, December 9 (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Jointly presented by Ars Medica and featuring Dr. Vincent Lam, Sylvia Warsh, Anne Marie-Todkill, and Linda Clarke

Nalo Hopkinson (The Salt Roads, Brown Girl in the Ring)
John Pearce, literary agent, Westwood Creative Artists

Sessions, held at Humber’s Lakeshore Campus, are hosted by Kim Moritsugu, author and HSW faculty member.

The HSW Writers’ Circle was created three years ago to give budding scribes an opportunity to listen to a published author talk about the craft of writing, to network with other writers, and to have the first page of a manuscript assessed by an agent/publisher.
