Potential TTC StrikeIn the event of a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) strike on Monday, April 11, 2005, Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning will remain open and all classes and services will operate normally. Students, faculty, staff and visitors are encouraged to find alternative transportation such as GO Transit, the Mississauga and Brampton transit systems and car pooling. ParkingThe Humber Lakeshore West Campus has extra capacity in the lot adjacent to the AB Building. Please park in the Queen’s Plate Parking Lot (look for Humber Security Staff). The charge will be $4.00 per day which includes a shuttle bus taking students from the Queen’s Plate Parking Lot to the North Campus. The pick-up point from the North Campus will be the Bus Shelter adjacent to the Parking Kiosk at Lot 10. The shuttle bus will run on a continual basis, from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., for the duration of the strike. As available, students/staff may be assigned a space at the North Campus for $7.00 per day. If possible, we encourage car pooling to help reduce congestion. Please be assured that we will make every effort to assist all students and staff during this strike.
