Coastal Navigation
The course is the first of two offered by the Canadian Yacthting Association (CYA). It will introduce you to the knowledge, skills and instruments necessary for successful navigation in coastal waters. Exercises include plotting course lines, fixing positions, reading charts, tide and current calculation. An optional CYA Exam may be written at the conclusion of the course. The Coastal Navigation textbook is not included.
Coastal navigation tools such as parallel ruler and dividers are required for this course, and may be purchased at the Sailing Centre Office on the first night of class.

All Nautical Nights classroom courses will be held at the Sailing and Power Boating Centre.
Coffee and Tea are available during these courses.
