Sailing a boat safely and competently requires a skipper and crew who can work together towards a common goal. What a great way to improve employee cooperation with a stimulating and rewarding activity. Throw in a few fun races with a barbecue and performance recognition and your staff will be talking about their new experiences for weeks.
Want to thank a key client, or develop a closer relationship with an important customer. What better way than to get away from your offices to a casual environment where you can work together to learn, or brush up on your sailing skills. You can choose the pace, we will insure you achieve your goals.
We have conducted dozens of Corporate Sail & Learn programs, with groups of between 4 and
65 persons. A typical full day group program
starts with a continental breakfast at the Sailing
Centre in Humber Bay. Following a safety
briefing our CYA certified instructors conduct a
3 hour on-water training session as we sail to
the Toronto Islands. After a catered barbecue
lunch on shore we have a series of short races in
the afternoon where everyone gets an
opportunity to put into practice their newly
acquired sailing skills. They are great fun, and
require the crews to cooperate in order to
maximize their boat’s performance. New
talents are discovered and new skills emerge in
tackling these common experiences in a
competitive environment.
A smaller group full day program can be as unsophisticated as sailing around the Toronto Islands under the supervision of one of our instructors learning as much as you wish to about sailing. Lunch can be enjoyed ashore, or on the boat.
All on water activity takes place on our fleet of 30 ft to 38 ft keelboats. All boats are fully equipped with all required safety equipment, and are skippered by a CYA certified instructor to conduct the sail training.
