Intermediate Keelboat Cruising (Intensive Weekend challenge)
For those who have the Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) Basic Cruising Standard or have extensive sailing experience in keelboats.
This course is designed for experienced sailors to challenge the CYA Intermediate Cruising Standard on a two-day live aboard cruise on western Lake Ontario.
Curriculum includes:
- Trip Planning & Weather
- Emergency Procedures
- First Aid
- Menu & Meal Preparation
- Boat Systems
- VHF Radio Operation
- Entering Unfamiliar Harbours
The optional CYA Intermediate Exam may be written at the conclusion of the course.
The course does not include the cost of food. Participants will receive an information package and textbooks prior to the course.
Theory: This course includes both On-Water and Theory sessions.

$850.00
(course fee includes HST) The tuition portion of your fee is eligible for a tax credit.
(Food cost is extra) Live aboard courses are non-refundable.
