Private Instruction

Private instruction to help with specific skills or to obtain your certification is available on our Keelboats and Powerboats throughout the boating season. We offer private instruction up to the Advanced CYA Level. Private instruction is a minimum of 3 hours to start.

KEELBOAT INSTRUCTION (24 to 33-foot keelboats)

$350.00 for 3 hours. Includes HST.

KEELBOAT INSTRUCTION (39-foot keelboat)

$450.00 for 3 hours. Includes HST.

Private Theory

Private Theory programs include:

• One-on-one instruction for sailing, powerboating theory or navigation
• Private consultation on the best boat for you to buy

All programs are $60.00 per hour. Includes HST.

CYA Exam Challenges

Rates are based on level being challenged. Please contact the centre for details.

Private Instruction Policies:

A deposit of 50 per cent must be made at the time of booking. Balance is due at the start of each lesson. Cancellations inside of 14 days of the original booking are subject to a $50.00 fee. Changes to private lessons must be made at least 72 hours prior to the lesson. If the weather is inclement, the private lesson may be rescheduled at the instructor’s discretion. There is no charge for a rescheduled lesson due to inclement weather.
