At Humber College School of Creative and Performing Arts, we’re committed to providing students with the tools and information they need to live the life they want. To live, in fact, their dreams.
We teach students how to act, how to build sets and light them, how to write comedy, how to write a novel, how to publish it, how to perform music. Students receive both theoretical and practical training from the day they arrive – and it’s this combination that sets us apart and prepares our students to succeed. It’s our specialty. From the very start, our mandate has been to prepare students for the real world, and in creative and performing arts, no one does it better.
We attract some of the most talented students – and faculty – from around the world for one very simple reason: we work hard to create an open and inclusive environment committed to fostering talent, supporting creativity and encouraging excellence. We invite students to pursue their dreams here at Humber – and provide them with the skills they need to live their dreams when they graduate.
And, if they have talent, commitment – and fair enough, a soupcon of luck – they will earn a living in the arts and culture sector. I don’t think anyone would disagree that arts and culture are a nation’s soul – creators from all artistic disciplines express who we are as a people as they present their music, their movies, their art, their design, their stories and their performances to Canadians and to the world.
In my mind, there just isn't a better way to make your mark.
