This Canada Safety Council “Scooter Gearing Up” course is designed to take the brand new rider through all of the skills needed to feel comfortable and confident riding a "LSM" ie less than 50cc Scooter and moped, on the street. Is this course for me?This course is for those that want to ride a 50cc or smaller scooter. The course is completely suitable for those who have never ridden a scooter before as well as for those who have some previous riding experience. You should however have the skills to ride a bicycle. An “M2L" test will be done at the end of the course. What will I learn?We start with the very basic skills, including balancing, proper braking, starting the engine, slow speed riding, etc. Then we address important skills such as curves and collision avoidance techniques. What do I get at the end of the course?When you successfully complete the Ministry "M2L" test (done on-site), you will get The CSC certificate that your insurance agent is looking for, and the upgrade documentation for your “M2L” licence.
