| M2L Exit
This course will help you with refreshing skills that you have to deal with traffic situations. The course includes an M2 exit Ministry test administered by your instructor. Is this course for me?If you have had your M2 or M2L licence for at least 18 months (22 months if you didn't take an accredited course when you got it) you can upgrade it to a full "ML" licence. (Your M2 or M2L is valid for a maximum of 5 years.) What will I learn?This course picks up where the Canada Safety Council "Gearing Up" course left off. A basic riding skills evaluation is used as the starting point for more advanced lessons including; roadside stops, lane changing, curves and intersections. The M2L Exit programs do much more than just prepare the student for a road test. In addition to the above skills, students will learn the techniques and etiquette associated with group riding. The student will experience residential and business areas and will better equipped to identify and handle common hazards. What do I get at the end of the course?When you successfully complete the Ministry "ML" test (done on-site), you will get the necessary upgrade documentation for your ML licence. How long is the course?An extensive in-class session (3 hours) on a weeknight is supported by a 5 hour riding program on your own “LSM” scooter. This is followed by the scheduled Ministry road test at the end of the day. What do I need to bring?The course is run using your own “LSM” designated scooter. You may also take the course with a vehicle that is loaned by a friend or a rental, provided it is roadworthy and the insurance is up to date and meets the “LSM” designation.
