Humber is committed to providing an inclusive environment free from discrimination and harassment. To this regard, Humber’s Human Rights Policy has been revised and now addresses psychological/personal harassment, also known as “Bullying”. This workshop includes an overview of Humber’s Human Rights Policy within the context of the 17 grounds of discrimination, as outlined in the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Goal of the Workshop: To increase and reinforce employees' awareness of Humber's Human Rights Policy and its implications for action.

  • Increase employees’ understanding of key Human Rights terms and concepts in order to more effectively identify, prevent, and respond to allegations of harassment and discrimination;
  • Identify ways to enhance inclusion at Humber; and
  • Receive an overview of Humber’s Human Rights Policy

All Humber employees who have attended Humber’s human rights training session prior to August 2018, are required to attend a ‘Pathways to Human Rights Education & Action’ training session. This includes sessional, contract, part-time and full-time employees.

If you need an accommodation based on a Human Rights Code ground to attend, please let us know.

Managers and Directors, if you wish to arrange a custom-designed training session for your department please contact Sacha Ally at
