Basic Budgeting for Non-Financial Professionals - E-Learning

Budgets outline how an organization’s financial resources will be allocated, and are essential in giving a sense of direction in day-to-day activities. Dealing with budgets is no longer only the responsibility of the finance department. In this course, you will learn about the characteristics of an effective budget, the different stages involved in planning and distinguishing between different types of budgets.

  • Recognize the phases of the budgetary planning process
  • Distinguish between different budget elements and the type of budget to which they apply
  • Recognize characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of zero-based budgeting
