Humber Department of English Faculty is Trillium Poetry Award Winner

It is with a huge sense of pride that the Department of English shares with the Humber community that our very own Meaghan Strimas has won the 2017 Trillium Poetry Prize. Meaghan is a full-time faculty member in the Department (no surprise there!).  As well as being a prize-winning poet, Meaghan teaches in our English curriculum and begining this Fall, will be teaching in our Professional Writing and Communications Graduate Certificate program. As if that wasn't enough, Meaghan is also the Editor of the Humber Literary Review and along with the HLR collective has taken it to a position of cultural influence in the Can-Lit scene. Her dedication to all these aspects of her life is something to behold and an inspiration for all her students and Humber. So, if you need some summer reading, look no further: mansfieldpress.net/2016/10/yes-or-nope
