Many students with testing accommodations require an electronic copy of the test. Rich Text Format (RTF) is the most suitable file format to use for students who require an electronic copy for their accommodation when it comes to testing. This enables a student to use assistive software, such as Read & Write or Dragon, which they need to comprehend an exam.
It is very simple to create a RTF file extension. If the processor has the test or exam typed up in Microsoft Word, please save a RTF copy by doing the following:
- Click File
- Click Save As
- Click Save as Type and select Rich Text Format (*rtf) from the dropdown menu
- Click Save and voila!
