More About TAP

Who should join TAP?

  • First Generation students in their first year at Humber, in the School of Business, Health Sciences, Applied Technology or Social and Community Services.

Why join?

What happens at TAP groups?

  • TAP sessions are once a week, for one hour in length and are incorporated into your class schedule

  • Meet in small groups with students in your Faculty

  • Sessions are facilitated by an upper-year student (TAP Leader) from your academic school

  • TAP leaders work with you to plan workshops and activities to meet your needs

  • Workshop topics can include: Time Management, Study Skills, Career Development, and Health and Wellness

  • There is time to socialize and relax with peers in your area of study

  • Meet with visiting faculty members

  • Refreshments are served at every session

  • Weekly Prizes are given for attendance in the program

What do I have to do?

  • Register through our website by clicking on the Student Registration button

  • Plan to attend a TAP session once a week for the semester

  • Bring your questions, enthusiasm and appetite each week!
