Teaching & Learning Innovation Fund
The Teaching & Learning Innovation Fund is a core pillar of Humber’s Reimagining Learning initiative. It is where bold teaching and learning ideas spark into action, giving faculty, staff, and students the support they need to bring transformative concepts to life.
Through the Teaching and Learning Innovation Fund, we generate and accelerate projects that push the boundaries of how we teach and learn, enhance the student experience, and strengthen the impact of Humber’s education.
What Makes This Different
Faculty and Student Collaboration
Students are not just participants. They are partners. Projects can involve students as active co-creators and researchers, building real-world skills and contributing their perspectives.
Scalable Impact
The most impactful projects are those that can grow beyond a single course or program, influencing learning across Humber.
Independent Projects with Guided Support
Opportunity to be self-directed and design your own project, while having helpful supports and being accountable to share what you learned.
Funding Available
- Annual Call for Proposals – up to $250,000 awarded across projects this fall.

How to Get Started
- Think Big and Stay Grounded
Identify a challenge or opportunity in teaching and learning at Humber. Imagine how it could look if you had the resources and collaborators to make it happen. - Build Your Team
Connect with students, colleagues, and partners. Cross-disciplinary and interdepartmental collaborations are encouraged. Prepare Your Proposal
Your submission should outline:- The problem you are addressing
- Your innovative approach
- How students can be involved as partners
- How the idea could scale to benefit more learners
- Resources and timeline
