The Teaching Excellence Program at Humber supports the development of new full-time faculty through a mandatory two-year program. The program exposes participants to the mulit-layered responsibilities of teaching in a post-secondary institution. The ultimate goal of the program is to ensure that faculty meet Humber’s strategic goal of a “sustained focus on teaching and learning excellence.”

This Certificate has been accredited by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) - Educational Developers Caucus (EDC) of Canada to ensure quality in teaching and learning. For more information, please visit EDC Accreditation information

This Certificate is under review to receive the Learning Teaching and Assessing accreditation award by the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) of the United Kingdom to ensure quality and alignment in teaching and learning values and philosophies.
