Microeconomics and macroeconomics play a role in business decisions and strategy formulation. In this course students will cover microeconomics concepts and analytical tools to examine how society and individuals use limited resources to meet their needs. Students will examine current events in the context of microeconomic theories including supply, demand, prices, incomes, markets, competition and market structures. Students study the concepts of market failure and market power and the need for government intervention to achieve social and political goals.
