Students are introduced to the theoretical financial concepts required for effective decision making. Students will use time value of money (TVM) calculations to evaluate both debt and equity and will use capital budgeting methods to evaluate various financial scenarios. Topics including the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) and the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAP-M) will also be discussed, as well the trade-off between risk and return for both individual assets and portfolios.
