This is a foundational course on the techniques of the digital camera and its creative applications for photography and video production. Some of theprinciples and techniques taught are basic camera and video settings, lighting techniques, editing tools of Adobe Photoshop and Premier Pro, along with compositional design of still and moving images. The digital media tool will be explored across in-class assignments and independent, collaborative group projects, highlighting its value as a medium for self-expression, documentation and reference, the creative process and ideation.
