Equity and Inclusion in Addictions and Mental Health

Students identify and critically analyze the issues of oppression and equity in mental health and addictions. Students examine the societal structures that foster the development of the stigma of mental health. A deeper understanding of theoretical concepts of social justice and anti-oppression will take shape as students practice communicating using inclusive language. Students identify treatment practices that are respectful of differences and are culturally relevant.
