In this course student participate in complex case studies, community-based program and agency visits, and develop their own program proposal. Through this work students identify the rationale for community-based approaches to care, as well as the historical, ethical and political considerations to be taken into account with outreach services. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practices in the field, and the importance of professional relationships and partnerships in the pursuit of fostering community capacity
