In this course students develop their understanding of trauma and trauma responses, and how these are relevant in working with individuals with mental health and/or addiction concerns. Students learn about trauma-informed theory and practice, and how to implement these at the individual, organizational and systemic levels. A focus on caring for self, while caring for others is also emphasized.
