This course looks at the evolution of performance through the ages. The course examines playwrights and screen writers, changing playing spaces and technology, performance theory, the organization of theatre and film producing, as well as political and social context. Aspects of performance are considered from the perspective of the future stage and screen performer with an emphasis on their application to stage and screen practice today.
