Students examine the fundamentals of human anatomy and physiology as they relate to dance. They investigate principles of health and wellness and the overall importance of dance. In addition, they continue to build on the foundation dance techniques in ballet, tap and jazz, particularly in the context of anatomy and physiology. Through interactive lectures, case studies and the development of a personal wellness plan, students research the basic structure, function and maintenance of the muscles used in dance.
