Students learn a variety of methods of preparing for performance as well as a range of performance styles and traditions in the world of film and television. The material selected for exploration is chosen with reference to the needs of everyone. The core of the course consists of advanced scene studies using a range of stage, film, and television scripts to expose students to the specific technical needs of a particular script. Students work on-camera throughout the semester; they gain practical training in the vocabulary and demands of the industry. They also develop an awareness of their own strengths and marketable skills.
