Course Code: AFTV 150
Academic Year: 2023-2024
This course continues the work of AFTV 100 - Fundamentals of Acting by further exploration of classic realist acting techniques with added emphasis on various approaches to working with scripted materials. Multiple approaches to stimulating and disciplining the dramatic imagination will be emphasized throughout the term, including but not limited to exercises, scene study, monologues, improvisation, tutorials, and script analysis. As with all studio courses, the actor's personal sense of expressive, dramatic truth will be the yardstick by which progress is measured. Please note: Periodically, students will be required to attend one-hour rehearsals and taping sessions. These will be scheduled outside of normal class hours at a mutually agreed upon time.
