This course introduces microcomputer-based automation. Students learn basic logic circuits, computer architecture and buses, interfacing with hardware and various software control methods. This course provides hands-on experience in using microcomputers/microcontrollers for automation. Students will create an automated system, including the hardware, interfaces, and software programs required.
