This course will help students to acquire the skills to design, analyze and troubleshoot microprocessor based systems as well as integrate automated systems with high level programming. Students will gain practical experience using communication protocols and handshaking techniques for various modern control systems and devices. They will use an appropriate computer interface and develop programs to communicate with and control automation devices. Students will also study different troubleshooting techniques to test equipment, processes, systems and subsystems.
