In this course students are introduced to the principles of, and guidelines for, effective project management in the arts. Through a series of short lectures, assigned readings/listenings/viewings, case studies, and team-based project development exercises, students learn the fundamentals of project management, including: planning, scheduling, risk control, setting optimal budget and performance objectives and measurements, as well as the essentials of active listening and the core strategies of successful communication.
