In this course students further develop their knowledge of and facility with poetic and dramatic forms. Through a series of lectures, assigned readings/listenings/viewings and instructor-moderated workshops, students acquire techniques and strategies for improving the quality of their poetry and writing for stage and screen. In addition to analyzing published/produced works, students continue to submit and comment on original work in the workshop, where they refine their skills in offering and receiving editorial input. They will also draw on course learnings from across the program to experiment with adapting and repurposing content across a variety of forms and media.
