In this course, students will be introduced to broad foundational knowledge, skills and best practices related to the management of organizational structures in the arts and cultural sector. Designed to provide familiarity with the structures, systems and formats common to organizational planning initiatives, topics will include audience development, cultural policy considerations and the importance of inclusive perspectives, and various modes of engagement discussed in the context of organizational processes serving artistic vision. Students will conduct special research projects related to arts programming, grants, corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
