This course explores the art and craft of writing for poetic forms. Through a series of lectures, guest speakers, assigned readings/listenings/viewings, in-class writing exercises, and workshops, students develop their knowledge and skills regarding key elements of page-based and performance poetry, including formatting, performance techniques, diction and the poetic line.
