This course focuses on how people engage and interact with technology, and how our experiences with technology are mediated, designed and evaluated. With a focus on screen-based interactions, this course blends interaction design theory with hands-on application of principles. Students prototype interfaces for screen-based products such as responsive websites, apps, software, and a variety of other products. Students are encouraged to think both creatively and critically about how technology interactions impact the overall user experience, and identify touchpoints and opportunities to reduce harm and increase satisfaction and meaning in these experiences.
