Increasingly, design and data are becoming intertwined. Designers not only make sense of data in visual formats, but also incorporate data into design decisions and participate in the design of data-driven experiences. In this course, students explore the ways in which data is generated by and about people, and how data is built into designed products. The course explores current topics such as data analysis, data-driven design techniques, computational design, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI).
