Academic Year: 2024-2025

In order to remain competitive in today's complex world, organizations need to generate, embrace, and execute on new ideas. This requires a creatively capable workforce with the right skills and strategies to develop innovative products and services. In this course, students investigate how successful companies and not-for-profits adopt and apply the principles and methods of design to a range of business and organizational challenges. Students examine the internal policies, structures, cultures, communications and other aspects of organizational behaviour that impact how products and services develop. Students also analyze the role of the designer in these contexts, and reflect on their own ability to contribute effectively within an organizational context.
