Service design is a human-centered, interdisciplinary approach to creating, improving, and innovating services by systematically considering the interactions between users, service providers, and the various touchpoints that make up the entire service experience. This course uses foundational service design principles to explore complex design challenges across public and private sectors. Students will develop sophisticated approaches to understanding customer needs, mapping service ecosystems, and creating innovative service solutions that balance human experience with organizational viability.
