This course will focus on the macro elements involved in planning an event. Students will have an opportunity to develop and demonstrate an understanding of event research and needs assessment, as a starting point for event planning. critical path, goal development, in person protocols in a post COVID-19 world, technology, diversity/inclusion, and program administration are explored. In addition, emphasis is placed on task diagnosis, time frames, analysis of work problems and alternative work designs for improving the organizational performance and effectiveness of events. These topics will be covered for in person and online/virtual events.
