This course will take students through the key production tools of the industry, such as: design & decor, registration systems, entertainment options and how to work with entertainers, A/V systems & processes, HVAC, labour forces, site suitability, special effects, staging, tenting and temporary structures, transportation, waste management as well as, security/risk management and major events. Specific key events and their production elements will be analyzed through case studies. Teamwork is a major component of any event success; this course will examine the factors that lead to effective teamwork, including managing through conflict and will provide the students the ability to examine their own work styles as it related to effective teamwork.
