This course introduces Event Management students to the key legal principles to plan, implement and audit a wide range of events, including conferences, meetings, celebrations, expositions, shows, sports and entertainment events in the public, not for profit, charitable, private and corporate sectors. In this course, contract and employment, real estate and property, administrative and licensing, intellectual property and publishing, internet and E-Commerce, tort and criminal law will be taught in the context of their impact on the event industry.
