Visual Communications

Course Code: BFMP 1002

Academic Year: 2024-2025

The Visual Communications course introduces students to the analysis the visual artifacts of our contemporary culture. Students will study the various movements and ideological trends that have helped to shape their visual and social culture, including the influence of social media. Students use the resulting knowledge in designing and delivering a group presentation project. They examine both static and dynamic imagery (advertisements, photographs, films, and interactive media), as they broaden their understanding of the underlying principles of "massaging images" in our electronic age.
