In this course students are immersed in an intensive hybrid approach to the building blocks of visual storytelling, exploring the practical tools, applied theory and aesthetic analysis necessary for the effective creation of moving picture media, as they discover and develop their creative voices. Through the guided creation of three practical film projects, supplemented readings, analysis, screenings, and hands-on workshops in camera, editing, directing, sound and writing, students internalize and apply the major conventions of film grammar to their own creative work using professional tools and techniques.
