In this course, students creatively develop their own stories as written screenplays. Students apply industry-standard screenplay formatting techniques and software applications for screenwriting to effectively present their stories to be read by others. In addition, students implement models of storytelling structure and build effective emotional line. Students collaboratively engage in a creative process through writing, rewriting, listening and encouraging in critically reflective ways their own work and that of others. Students write a short film screenplay of between 2 and 15 minutes in length that demonstrates both technical and creative skills learned in the course.
