This course develops and expands upon the skills learned in Screenwriting I and assumes that students have mastered the basics of narrative writing for media previously taught in that course. Students will build upon those skills to develop their creative voice in visual storytelling by developing ideas for multiple media formats. They will learn to write for specific genres and distribution platforms, including, but not limited to short and long form narrative, commercials, public service announcements, dramatic and comedic series, as well as for interactive and streaming modalities. Students will work both individually and in teams to create and story edit outlines, treatments, series bibles, screenplays and teleplays of various lengths for different applications. Students will graduate from this course with a portfolio of media writing projects suited to their personal career objectives.
